NDIS Questions

Frequently asked questions.

Straightforward answers about SDA, SIL, eligibility and the NDIS for participants, families and support coordinators.

SDA is housing purpose built for people with extreme functional impairment or very high support needs. It covers accessible design features like wider doorways, roll in showers, ceiling hoists and smart home technology so you can live more independently.
SIL is the help or supervision you receive with daily tasks at home. This includes personal care, cooking, cleaning, medication management and getting out into the community. It can be a few hours a day or 24/7 onsite support.
Yes. SDA pays for the physical home and its accessible features. SIL pays for the support workers who help you in that home. They are separate budgets and many participants have both.
SDA eligibility is determined by the NDIS based on your functional impairment and support needs. Your planner or support coordinator will assess whether you meet the criteria. Inclusion Living can also guide you through the eligibility basics and connect you with an advocate if needed.
The NDIS recognises four categories: Improved Liveability (sensory or cognitive needs), Fully Accessible (wheelchair users), Robust (durable builds for complex behaviours), and High Physical Support (intensive support needs with assistive technology).

Yes. We offer one-on-one support to help you access your community, build life skills, and enjoy the activities that matter to you, from social outings and appointments to daily tasks and goal-driven support.
